The International Writing School, under the direction of its founder, Dr. Mati Schwarcz, has trained people from all walks of life to express themselves in clear, powerful writing, and to use that ability to achieve their professional and personal goals. Over the course of its long history, the school, founded in 1993 in Tel Aviv, as the YEDA Center for Technical Communications, has probably produced more technical writrers, marcom managers, and copy writers, than any other school, college, or university.
Throughout the 90’s the school grew by leaps and bounds to keep pace with Israel’s burgeoning hi-tech industry. YEDA’s thorough training methods and sensitivity to the changing requirements of the industry firmly established its reputation. The school's graduates have come to staff the technical communication departments of well known international companies such as Intel, Microsoft, Amdocs, HP, ECI Telecom, IBM, SAP, and many others. Over the years, many graduates have moved into managerial positions.
YEDA’s training was early recognized by Israel’s Ministry of Labor and Welfare. Over the years, YEDA retrained hundreds of eligible academics for the ministry and placed them in hi-tech companies as technical writers and marcom writers. The exceptional success of this program led to YEDA taking an active part in the Jewish Agency's Aliyah 2000 program which brought North American Olim to Israel.
The International Writing School: Comprehensive Online Training
The school's online training programs include graduates from the U.S. and Canada, as well as from England, Russia, Finland, Norway, China, Africa, India, and Central Europe. Graduates find work quickly and work in well known international companies such as Texas Instruments, Nokia, HP, and AOL.. Some of the school's graduates even teach technical writing in prestigious universities such as Temple University in Philadelphia.
Today, the school's online courses have expanded to include courses on how to write books on topics ranging from finance, family history, and biography, to how to write a best selling cookbook. As always, all of the school's courses are characterized by comprehensive lectures that unlock the mystery surrounding good writing, and follow up exercises and feedback that enable students to effectively master the principles and techniques learned.
